fitting fog lights

Hi every one new on here should be similar to vectra sport.co.uk,hopefully you people can help me just got rid of me vec c for new shape astra very happy with it but i like spot lights on now and again,so i bought them put them in my bumper with the inserts and there was wires taped up that fitted the lights so i plugged them in and then bought the headlight unit with the foglight switch on but no joy its a 2004 1.7 elegance its a spanish left hand drive car,any suggestions or do i have to wire it up seprate and put some silly switch somewhere?

Basically, unless you buy yourself a tech2 machine and manage to get the correct software for it you will have to take it to a Vaux garage. They should only charge 20-30 mins labour for doing it tho!

THIS is a tech2 machine, tho not the type that Vaux uses (theirs have a large readout display so it doesn't always need to be plugged into a PC), someone may have one if you ask around on here!

early this year a customer bought an Astra H Club and wanted front fogs fitting....simple job we thought!!!!!!!!!!
not on your life!!!
needed a separate wiring loom!( there,s a few to choise from too) then programmed by tech2
nightmare job.
but much wiser now next one should be easier!!!

i had a vectra c Ls before my astra it did not have the loom but i fitted the correct lights in and then had to fit a switch which was under the steering column which had a cable connected to the battery and a relay and the sidelights it worked fine cost 20 quid to be wired up il do this i think
