I collected my wife's Astra from the garage this afternoon.It had been there all week to have the blue smoke from cold starting looked at.
The garage replaced the glow plugs,then all 4 injectors.The EGR has already been replaced last month at another garage.
On the way home we noticed a lack of power and a loud rattling noise from around 2,000 rpm upwards.
Does anyone know if the new injectors need coded or will the ecu "learn" as it,s driven?
When i got home i looked to see if anything was loose under the engine cover but nothing was apparent-however i did notice the bottom section of the air-con conderser has fallen off.....
Really getting annoyed now as wouldnt expect these faults after 30k on a 58 plate and guess what? It still smokes for 5 or 10 secs after starting.
Already have case number from VX and will give them a call on Monday.
Can anyone offer any advice apart from alcohol and running away!!!!
