If it was the clutch/flywheel/bearing surly you would feel this in the other gears just the same?

Whats the wobble, you get this in neutral? Also, you clearly mis-typed as im sure you meant 70.

 

hah yeah 70 no i dont think so it onlu comes in 4/5/6 but the gearbox guys told me the box is fine.. :/ cant be driveshafts could it? i thought it was the box.. trying to find the best place to be able to swap it out for a refurb one for cheapest..

 

So at speed, indicating a spinning part.

Loose driveshaft weight (usually spins from 50 in my experience at which point all hell breaks loose)

Wheel balancing

Hub bearing

Also, who did your clutch? Doesnt sound like a good job?

 

I get that when accelerating. Seems to do it going straight or bearing right but eases off when going left. Doesn't come through the steering but shakes the van body.

Noticed an intermittant clicking sound from front right like something is a wee bit loose. Will need to check it out.

 

it does it when accelerating hard if i accel slowly i dont have a problem when im just slowing accelerating i thought i was a box problem... had the box checked.... apparently its fine.

i really dont have a clue i have had 2 different people do the clutch and flywheel so im stumped.

i have just had brand new injectors too if thats what you mean? i am getting new glowplugs as i have an error code for them. but other than that its been nothing i can think of...

 

got it booked in at vauxhall for inspection... i feel as if i am wasting the best part of £150 but it could be worth it..

 

Had suspension checked on mine - no issues found that couls cause the vibration. Suggested getting a full geometry done to check all is ok. Will try that next and take it from there.

 

i have a snapped rear coil spring but i know thats not my problem as i have the knocking noise on idle.. seems to be bouncing a bit on idle now is that a cause of a sensor?

 

Just spoke to a suspension specialist about getting a full geometry done and mentioned the vibration under acceleration problem. He thought it was a known vx issue and described it to me. Its is what he described. He thinks it is a cv joint problem. probably one of the inner ines has lost the grease or dried out - he said to check and grease them and thatmight fix it but if its is knackered a new cv or driveshaft will be required.

Where is the best/cheapest place to get cv's/driveshafts ??? They seem to be expensive.

i brought one from j and r they only supplied half the driveshaft i would go GKN or something tbh mate

 

There is a place near me that does sales, repairs etc they have some good info on their site.

It sounds like it is a problem with the cv joint with the vibration under acceleration just as the guy at the alignment place described.

hmmm shame there isnt a cheap solution of diagnostics new driveshafts are around £450 for both decent ones.

 

did you find the exact cause of this in the end?

 

i personally havent yet. mine still wobbles.

 

Mechanic checked my cv joints and both inners have play.

thats a shame i see euro car parts do have them on a recon surcharge have you tried them?

 

I get the same, a while back I had a replacement engine fitted with my original clutch and flywheel which is apparently loose or my guess worn and that is probably the cause of the vibration under load when at max torque

 

Ive had 2 new flywheels and clutches this year its still the same aha

 

It was the inner CV joints. Replaced and now runs very smooth.
