It does give the pressures somewhere in the manual, but the easiest place to find them is on the "Quick Reference" card they give you. You'll need to know the engine you've got and your tyre size in order to look up the right pressure from the table.
Interesting thread. I didn't know there was an eco pressure for the tyres and having a quick flick through the manual I cant see it (probably blind). I have the optional 18" wheels on my Astra Elite, so can anyone let me know what the eco pressures are for these and is there anyone with 18"s that are running them at this pressure that can give some feedback?
Here's the label on the door shut of my J, I guess that's there as the car was supplied with the optional 18" wheels. Been running on 39 since i picked it up, no issues with the comfort or uneven wear.
Running mine on 39psi.. Seems to handle better when at 36 though.. 39s very bouncy but does give 1-2mpg more but maybe that's cause your driving style changes knowing you're running the eco "setting" so to speak.
I run mine on the eco settings. Don't see much difference in ride comfort. Fronts were changed at about 27k miles and had about 1 mm more wear in center compared to outside edges. Michelin Primacy 17's 80% motorway mileage.
have had tyres set at 35 psi all round and filled with nitrogen and had the tracking done, took it down to east mids airport whitch is 26 miles down the m42 (70 mph on cruse going there 57 mpg) coming back driving it like i stole it  50.2 so a good result
I have kept my 17" at 39psi and still seems comfortable, tyre wear after 15000 miles is very even and to be honest still look only half worn on the front. Wish our Ford S-Max was like that, gets through a front pair every 9,000 and rears every 20,000?. It's only done 30,000 and I have bought 8 tyres for it already!
If you go for the eco end of that scale it will cause uneven tyre wear (middle will wear quicker). Personally I wouldn't go above half way between the two.
