Just wanted to share this with you all. The Astra now has a new mot, but it wasn't a first time pass.
I had a wee bit of tin worm to deal with on the n/s rear suspesion mount, right where the coil sits & a wheels bearing on the front.:(
All this has been done & while i had the strut off, i swapped the shocks on both sides along with new discs and pads as they were getting low & in need of doing sometime.
The car is as quiet as a church mouse now & is alot more sure footed with gas shocks on the front.

Bring on the rest of the shows!!:D

Ta very. I had hoped to steer away from tin worm but i hope thats the end of that stuff. i shall be going at it with a shed load of waxoil again over the winter. The ther bits i had put off and was going to get done at the same time as waxoil, but obviously had to bring thes forward. I am still happy, not really much of an issue for a 28 year old machine.
