It sounds like the astra J mk6, I hired when you release/pull the electronic handbrake but since mines uses a manual handbrake and is mk5. Just wondering what the noise is

2nd question: Does wet or dampness cause the car to have a rough start?

Pouring rain after coming out the supermarket. I started up the car and it felt rough like a bit of shake when you turn the keys

The 2nd thing, yes it can. I haven't had this with my Astra, but my Polo seriously hated the wet, it'd splutter for a while and drive horribly, but once it was warm it would be fine.

Sounds like the starter isnt retracting properly on start up, prob needs a new solenoid or new motor, im not 100% but thats what it sounds like to me

Cheers I will get it checked out. I would of thought it was the car wet or the handbrake mechanism testing itself on start up :lol:

COld days my mk5 misfires on start till i rev her...others with this issue put this down to sticky injectors. Environments impact hugely on car operation...hell the closer you are to sea level the denser the air becomes and even that makes a difference to your cars performance.
