Afternoon all,

Extremely confused at the moment, the thrust bearing my 1999 2.0 petrol SRi clutch is making a noise so have been pricing up replacing the clutch.

I have been quoted £230 for a GM clutch, and £210 for a dingbro (trade only motor factors) clutch then the cost of a homer to have it fitted which will come close to £400 all in!

Now im sure I can pick up a cheaper clutch and consider doing it myself, but what clutch do I need for the F23 gearbox as euro car parts list the box as F18? Can anyone tell me if the F23 is a better/worse/standard box fitted to the 2.0 SRi?

Thanks in advance folks!

the f23 box is a better box than the f18 box,it is easy to identify as the f23 has reverse to the right and back where the f18 is to the left and forwards, and the clutches are different, the genuine clutch has a 2 year warranty

Solorider..

Cheers for the information. Yeah it is definately the F23 gearbox I have!

Ah didnt know the genuine clutch had a 2 year warranty, any ideas on where to get a clutch at a decent price? Doesnt have to be genuine GM part.
