has the headunit been divorced from the screen that it was married to in the vxr? if not then i think that it wil be like this all time now, if its been divorced vauxhall should be able to pair it up to your screen , im sure someone will be along to correct me if im wrong lol (Y)

Sounds like it hasn't been correctly divorced from the car it came out of.

I think there's a bloke on ebay who can decode them.

The headunit might be divorced, but the alternative is that you didn't divorce your screen from your original head unit either.

Just a thought!!

As said, it would need to be paired to your headunit. I bought a second hand CD30 that was divorced but my screen had not been divorced previously. Took it to Vaux and they said that I would need the codes from the car it came out of if it was from an older car than mine, or they would need my codes if the head unit is newer than my car. I don't know how fact that is, but I said I didn't know can you try it anyway and they did it no problems :)

Yep, get a steering wheel with controls... you'll need it fitted and programmed in but I might be able to help you with that ;)

Fit the screen and headunit from the same car and you should be fine.

If you are going to get the tech2 out you might as well fit cruise control while you're at it...

Gnasher is right. You need your old radio plugged in, disable theft security using opcom/tech2, plug new headunit in and re enable theft security, job done! If the radio wasnt divorced it would say radio safe and it says display so it means the radio doesnt recognise the screen..
