Hi guys, went into my local vx dealer after some oil. Had a service only 10,000 ago but was thinking it can't hurt to change the oil again as its starting to turn a dirty colour.

Anyway, for 05w30 super syn...they wanted £45 for 5L with a trade dscount

Does that seem the right price?

Did this include them putting the oil in for you. Or include a filter and fitting? If not and it was just the oil you were after then you should just go buy better quality stuff from somewhere else not halfrauds though lol

Just the oil! no filter and not even a drain plug!

Looking on ebay its £20...that seems more like it

You need 5L as the 1.9 CDTi takes about 4.6L

Opie Oils normally have great offers on and join for a discount

I got 5l of 5W30 with a filter for about £23 with trade, it was about £40 odd before discount!

according to the trade club website, 5 litres of 5w30 longlife super synthetic is £16.29

That sounds reaaaaaaally expensive.. For £20 I got:

- 5L 5w30 GM Oil
- Oil Filter
- O-Ring

Obviously with trade discount... On the invoice, the oil worked out about £16, but the RRP was about £39. I'd try somewhere else first, doesn't seem like they're giving you the discount!!
