Found a 2010 low mileage vxr for sale which is about a 3 hour drive away from me, what should I be looking out for when I go to view? 33k on the clock, owner says it hasn't had cambelt done before, does it need doing? Any help appreciated. Rob

The usual, Full service history, Not modded , in other words Factory spec,

Make sure on test driving there is NO noises from the gearbox, Be very observant,

On service history normally cambelt replacement is about 40k miles, so in other words its not due to be replaced

If you buy , please make sure the cam/belt/ timing gear/water pump is renewed, in good time.

Tubos, are an issue, but not a problem,

If you see any smoking from the exhaust, its either down to a worn turbo, or valve stem seals,

Look out for the obvios, running of the car. she needs to pull straight , responsive, and

VERY quick :)
