I posted here before trying to resolve issues with my astra, they are all sorted now so thank you.
I have an idea and i need to know what you guys think and if it will work. Basically i'm planning on fitting a turbo to my astra and think i have found a semi easy and cost effective way of doing it.
The plan is to buy a cheap 1.7 diesel and take the exhaust, turbo, intercooler, piping and bits from then and using that as a kit (Reason for this is i can get a old 1.7 for £200 where as a turbo kit is too much money). I don't see why it won't work. I've already been in communications with a company that are more then happy to map it in for a decent price and started getting the funds together to buy all the parts i'm going to need. Now before you ask why don't i just engine swap it with a SRi or GSi engine basically i just don't want to i would prefer have it turbo'ed as it would just be more unique. So all i'm asking is, is it possible and does it sound like a decent idea?
I appreciate anyones input however i would prefer if people are not completely negative about the idea.
