I have started carbon wrapping various bits of my Astra H interior and I have managed to do two out three steering wheel controls. This is because the third one has a rounded off screw inside and I cant get it out!

Any ideas please as I have an SMD conversion booked in soon so need it to come off.

If you've got a flat blades screwdriver you could try that and tapping it with a hammer to make a new cut out. We do this at work all of the time. Just make sure the battery is off because of the airbag.

Does the head still have anything you could grip onto?

I would try this tbh, taking note of removing the battery

If the impact of hitting a screwdriver with a hammer is going to set the airbag off, then disconnecting the battery isn't going to make a jot of difference.

Theres no a sensor there so why would the bags go off? I had to chap the life out the bolts on the cross bar to remove and the bags stayed intact
