Going to start a list of things to get/do for when i upgrade engine wise
All ideas greatly recieved
Still pondering on just dropping a 1.9 in, or go vxr

1 engine, ecu and key set
2 timing belt kit and water pump
3 Clutch and dmf (piece of mind)
4 swirl flap blank kit (if not already done)

Guys will try and get me a lowish mileage if its a 1.9, that already been mapped

Will need a new fuel tank possibly as well as the 1.9 uses an auxiliary pick up pump in the tank, and obv the vxr needs a fuel pump in there as well as being petrol.

I know i can get the full vxr conversion done complete for about £3k, the guys at rosyth seem to think the 1.9 is just a straight fit, more or less plug n play

Something different them go for the diesel and go down the Volvo(2056)or BMW(2260) turbo route good power probably looking nearly 300bhp and all the torque you can handle, the petrol has (Vxr conversion) has been done before more than the diesel conversion.

Torque motors had a Vxr motor in that was already forged and they had a tubular manifold and turbo in m not sure if there still there but it's done for you and ready for the mapping

Straight bolt on to a log manifold will be suffice tho I'm not sure a alfa manifold will fit ill look.

Or you could use the 1860 that's sold on eBay or another tuners site that I'm not allowed to mention but the guy who makes them is gti1000bhp on eBay he is in Scunthorpe and a great guy these are the original turbo machined out so it just looks oe under the bonnet

£130 for ecu set and £350 for a z19dth engine I think that's £200 too much even on a good day
