Hi have Astra Elite nav and the service Vehicle soon light comes on and also the engine management light comes on then will stay off for a while then come back on, any ideas as to what this could be,when it was serviced by Vauxhall glow plug 1 was mentioned could it be this many thanks

Yes,a glow plug circuit issue will throw a fault code and svs

service Vehicle soon is a fault warning message, nothing to do with when the vehicle requires a service.

God knows why GM did such a stupid thing.

Thanks for the replies, as regarding glow plugs are they difficult to get out and would it be good to give them some WD40 prior to removal.

Proper penetrating fluid would be better, such as plus gas.

Many thanks for that, may i also ask is that the oil and filter has been changed, what's the process to to put the oil level back from 7% to 100% many thanks
