Hi all, the rear drivers side seat belt buckle has become ‘sticky’, and sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t. I’ve bought a replacement buckle off ebay, and upon fitting it realise I don’t have the correct socket/torx.

The car is an Astra J, 1.7 cdti sri (5 door).

Please, does anyone know the correct size socket/torx I need to remove the buckle, and replace with my new secondhand one?

I’ll try and attach a photo so you can see what I mean. Many thanks in advance.

do you have any socket/torx set? ie if get 14mm socket and bit lose then go down 1 size to 13mm socket its fits
so that nut 13mm size...samething as torx

My set only goes up to 15, and that was too small.

Just wondering what size I need, and whether it’s a ‘special’ size, or something that would come as part of a bigger set, so I know what I need to buy.

Just measure the nut across the flats,that should be close enough to select the right size socket,
iirc some of the seat belt fittings are A/F rather than metric,my guess 5/8" or 16mm

I just been to my astra j have a look that nut size 18mm socket..i think is same nut size between hatchback n estate..

Mines astra j sri estate 14 reg
