Naah, semi synthetic for a 2005 model, it changed to fully synthetic along with the service interval on a 2006 chassis, quoted from my local VX dealership, saved me a few quid as fully synthetic wasn't needed...

they are talking out of their **s,all astra h's use 5w30 long life oil and should be on the eco flex servicing,i used to work for a vauxhall main dealer.,even the lowley 2004 corsa uses 5w30 long life oil,in fact virtualy all vauxhalls use 5w30 oil from 2004 model year,there are some that did not change like the astra g,agila and the vans,any vauxhall that did not change to 5w30 in 2004 changed to it if they recieved a facelift like the agila did later
