I'd once again like to thank everyone who donated supplies to the events today and also to the people who provided their time for everyone else's enjoyment. You are such wonderful people and very generous.

With the sale of the drinks, food and guess the number of sweets game. We managed to raise £151.21 for the nominated charity for this show which is macmillan cancer support.

This charity is at the request of Blink, on behalf of his late friend Barry. Although I'm sure this charity is close to many members for one reason or another.

Mickie has since told me that he has a donation of £20 from a member who couldn't attend the show and I've also been asked by other members for details of how they can donate to the charity.

So if there is anyone who would like to donate to the charity. Either people who couldn't attend the show, or if you just feel you would like to donate a little extra. I'll accept donations via my paypal account, as the AON acount can't be used for this purpose with it being linked to a business account.

Please send payment to [email protected] as a paypal gift. Please make it clear that it is a donation to macmillan and include your AON username.

I'll leave this thread open until the end of the week, before submitting the final figure. Please dig deep people

Well I've finally got around to making the donation to Macmillan. Below is the email confirmation - well done to everyone involved

Dear Dawn Greaves

Thank you very much for your kind donation of £310.

Your donation reference is: D171632

I would like you to know how much we appreciate your decision to support Macmillan at this time. Your gift will enable us to continue to provide vital services and information to people who need our help, for example through our cancer support specialists who can provide bereavement and other emotional support over the phone.

Our goal is to reach and improve the lives of every person in the UK diagnosed with cancer. We want to be there for them at every stage of their cancer journey and to support their families and carers too.

When you're living with cancer, the difference between a good day and a bad day can often come down to really small things. Getting answers on something you're worrying about. Finding out you can get some financial support. Or just having a chat with someone who understands. Every day Macmillan helps thousands of people to have a good day. We provide medical care through our specialist Macmillan health professionals, financial support through Macmillan grants and benefits advice, as well as a wealth of emotional and practical support, which we know makes all the difference.

We rely on voluntary donations for 99% of our income and we simply couldn't do what we do without your support. On behalf of those whom we are able to help, please accept our warmest thanks.

If you would like to find out more about what we do and other ways you can get involved such as volunteering or taking part in events, please visit www.macmillan.org.uk or contact us on the details below.

Thank you once again for your kind support.

Yours sincerely,

Ciaran Devane
