hello everyone i really need some help i have a 2005 astra h mk5 auto today i install the cc stalk in the car and use a copy of op com to activate the cruise control i did everything it said but when i took the car for a test run nothing works after 2 mins of driving around and trying it out the light with the little car and spanner came up on the dash....after i went back into op com and put everything back to non present and the little car and spanner light came off....anyone have any idea why the cc didnt work really need the help cheers in advance

It might help if you start by telling us what fault codes were stored in the engine and other systems... ;)

You need to have the clutch switch as well as the stalk, some cars have them and others don't.

For those with the clutch switch already fitted they just need to install the stalk and program CC with Op-com, if it's not fitted you'll have to fit one for it to work.

Spanner light probably telling you there's a fault with missing clutch switch.

no fault on op com plus i was thinking as its a auto do i need the clutch switch
I wouldnt think you would. Check on opcom the tranmission settings is for automatic incase it reading something else. All i can think of.

My CC doesn't work until I've been driving for a few minutes. It is Factory Fitted. I could be wrong but I believe it is a safety feature. So give it a little longer. Just a suggedtion. Can't help on warning lights though.

Need to be doing a certain speed i think. Fords are 25mph but unsure on vxl's

before you can use the cruise you have to be travelling more than 15mph, and also it wont activate until you have pressed the brake pedal first. more than likely the problem is due to no clutch switch, how this works on an automatic i have no idea. try contacting pecky or stampede, they may be able to give you further advice.
