Anyone else had a problem with hardly no power under 3000rpm ? Manifold flaps replaced 40,000 miles ago and bar intact, cleaned out egr and boost sensor, no fault codes and can't hear/see a boost leak! Had a go in a mates 1.9cdti and it pulls like a train at a little over 2000rpm.....warren G had a gk in my 888 on Tuesday and said it defo had a problem and could be boost sensor/actuator or vacuum pump ? Just wondering if anyone else had a problem like this...I thought at first it might just be how the 888s had been mapped !

I had a similar issue on mine and it ended up being the EGR valve. I know you said you had cleaned it but it could be worth a check?

as above, i had my EGR off to clean it and when putting it back on the car became really slugish and turned into a smoke machine, had to take it all apart and give it a really good clean, didn't solve it completely as it turned out two of the bolts on the manifold had been stripped previously so the EGR wasn't sealing right and so was blowing exhaust gases all over the back of the engine, some gasket putty fixed that tho.

It does look mint but I cleaned it anyway, I do have a spare that has been apart as it was blocked up so I might fit that and see what happens....I'm gonna have to start buying bits to bolt on and try shortly and I hate doing that !

I had this exact problem with my vectra 1.9CDTI, replaced EGR, MAF, MAP & Swirl flaps ok. It drove me that insane that I sold it. Could be a coincidence, but I had Canbus HID's. when I removed them to sell it ,it worked fine again. Just a theory, but could be some king of feedback if you have canbus HID's

How can I test and what should I test using opcom ? Really Want to get it fixed ASAP
You need to carry out an actuator test of the EGR valve - under engine / additional functions.

When the valve is opened, the air flow reading in kg/h should drop. When the valve is closed, it should go back up again.

If the value doesn't change, then the valve has seized.

If I unplugged the egr then would it run ok ? Nothing seems to change apart from having the eml on :-(
