I wrote off my 2.2 direct injection Vectra-C approx 6 years ago (same engine as the Astra-H), but it's well documented that E10 fuel isn't suitable for the 2.2 engine as the extra ethanol eats the rubber inside the fuel pump.
Someone has however developed an alternate fuel pump that should cope with E10 as they weren't all that good to start with.
It was either the Siemens or Continental fuel pump (can't remember which) that had loads of problems. My first pump failure happened at approx 31,000 miles. Fortunately just within the 3 year warranty, which meant it was replaced for free.
