I'm just cruising down the motorway on a 70mph and then you hear a *bang* from the stone where it somehow bounced from the tyre then onto the passenger side of the car framework(could be arch,door) and it drives me insane to hear that awful noise + it does give you a fright . In my previous car which was a clio was also a pain since the stone bounced from another car or tyre onto the windscreen.

I thought the windscreen would cost about £1k to get replaced o.0 and what wind screen damage does it make for a MOT fail?

a crack in the wipe area of the entire screen, or a chip in the wipe area infront of the driver
