Hi if anybody could offer advice be much appreciated.

I own a mark 5 Astra with cd30 stereo which I want to replace with the Sony WX920BT, would it be as simple as pulling the old one and and putting the new one in or do I need a fascia and/or a new harness.

again any help would be appreciated

You will probably need ans iso connector for the stero.

Halfords would sell those and it should just be plug and play, maybe splice 1 wire. But normally fairly simple

I recently changed the cd30 in my wife's astra h for a pioneer dmh-a3300 dab.

I also had to get a fitting cage, fascia and wiring harness. I got the following which included everything to make it more or less plug n play. This also included the bits for the steering wheel controls.

This may work for yours just check compatibility with the radio you are going to get.
