Hey guys, im after changing ALL my interior bulbs for LED's. Having a bit of an overhaul to match the LED conversion. I've also ordered some 12v led tape stips which i'll be placing in the front footwells, back footwells and under each door. Which will be wired in with the interior lights, along with a seperate switch for isolation.

Anyway, I've searched but cant find everything im looking for really. So does anyone know exactly which lights will need load resistors? I'll update the first post when I get more info.

Front Centre Light - 1 x 44mm festoon (no resistors needed)
Front Map Lights - 2 x 501 / 5w5 (no resistors needed)
Front Vanity Mirrors - 4 x 36mm festoon
Rear Centre Light - 2 x 501 / 5w5 (resistors needed)
Glovebox Light - 1 x 44mm festoon (no resistors needed)
Rear Number Plate - 2 x 501 / 5w5 (resistors needed)
Boot Light - 1 x 44mm feston (resistors needed)

Cheers :)

the front map reading lights, festoon bulb an glove box light are all fine to just swap straight over.

the rear ones will need resistors as the leds light for a second an then go out.

not sure about your mirrors.

Excellent, god knows how i missed that in the tutorial section!

I noticed he's used 10 Watt, which is fine for the front sidelights but does anyone know if these will be ok for the rear interior and numberplate lights?

Also does anyone know why he's used a 22 and 33 Ohm for each side? Im guessing he's placed them in series so remembering from my a-level electronics its purely R1 + R2 = 55 Ohm

So a 10 watt 55 Ohm resistor needed for front side lights. Correct?

Does the canbus need exactly 55 Ohms resistance?

Same for the other 501/5w5 's ?

i always these these peeps..

www.ultraleds.co.uk
no problems at all.
Cheers for the link, but im not sure any of them will come with the load resistors needed. Unless you know otherwise?

Thanks again :)

I think I'll bow out at this point !!

(CSE Grade 3 !!)

Just let us know if it is so I only need 2 10 watt 55 Ohm resistors & not 4 of the others!

If I get around to doing it that is.

Glad I could help where I could.

Your Tom Tom mod is amazing !

if you work out how to do the rear interior give me a shout, because i havent been able to do it, because the loom is a ribbon, an the bulbs sit in an enclosed holder, so theres nothing to tap into
