I've also been experiencing this limp mode these past two weeks but I'm certain it's an exhaust leak or bad exhaust manifold gasket (flexi pipe wire mesh is torn, exhaust fumes in car, two broken off manifold nuts) especially because it goes away once the engine has heated up; there's also a leak at the flexi pipe; I struggled to remove a stuck manifold bolt, took me three days on that one - once I replace the manifold gasket and get the flexi pipe welded, I'll let you know how it goes. I knew nothing about cars till I got this Astra, now: I know a lot more and I've got tools galore. One more thing to add, once the engine is heated up for a bit, switch it off, take the key out, put the key in and hold down the 'odometer reset' button while turning the key, it will start flashing Insp, then crank the engine and still hold the button until the spanner-through-car light goes away, you'll get power back at this point. This trick has only worked for me after a drive.
