Hi,
My service is due this month or in 6000km (each ever comes sooner). Today I notice the InsP message displayed on km screen. After I turn on engine it goes away. I wonder if the car is sensitive to dates in order to recognize when the service is due.. or could this be some sort of fault?

Thanks

It ll come on when you re due a service. If you ve had the service, heres how to reset it

1: ignition off
2: press and keep hold of the button which resets the mileage on the speedo
3: Still being pressed switch on the ignition and wait 5 seconds
4: let go of the button and start the engine

Should be gone now

Yes, it does keep a track of the date, and the message comes up either just before the due date or just before the service interval distance is covered, whichever comes first.

From the manual:
The service interval is based on several parameters depending on usage and is calculated using these parameters.
If the car has been driven hard it can bring on the service indicator earlier than expected.
