2017 Astra GTC - 25,000 miles

Tried searching the thread but unable to find anything with similar faults.

Over the last couple of days, my steering has started causing a grinding/hissing noise intermittently when turning right.
It appears to be coming from the right hand side near the wheel, but only comes intermittently when driving, nothing left hand side.
I have checked and there appears to be nothing stuck or catching.
No issues with brakes or when moving the wheel stationary.

Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

The brake pads have an audible minimum lining thickness warning on them. It could be that, as when it has happened to me I noticed it first when steering.
It is a piece of metal on the pad that touches the top of the brake disc.
