I've got an Astra H, recently the heater inside the cabin is blowing only cold. I have checked all hose pipes coming from engine, and all of them looks fine, no cracks, and all pipes are clipped correctly. Anyone has an idea what is wrong. Anyone have idea what to check, and from where.

thanks

if your thermostat is stuck open, the coolant will never get warm enough to heat the cabin[/QUOTE]

I had the same problem around 3 years ago was my thermostat, replaced for a new one (Y)

thanks for your suggestions, I found out that the coolant bottle was almost empty. the culprit was some sort of a plastic valve, snapped between the water pump and the inlet hose pipe. actually it was clogging the coolant system, and upon pressure build up the hose pipe clip failed. i was lucky that we had a very cold weather and recently the engine got a routine service.
