Hi! Haven't been on here for an age!

basically my eonon d5123..... Decided it would pack in 6 Months after the warranty ended! So I now need something new! I'm after something black, with blue led lights, Bluetooth music and calls, navi or screen mirroring (preferably the later as I like to have traffic updates), resale value or potential for use in my next car, then after that everything is a bonus

Choices so far:

the eonon I could get for around £220
know I now eonon are abit dodgy to say the least but I had a good year and half with my last unit before it packed in. The other 2 are more expensive but when I get a new car could I transfer it across?
and would there be any extra fitting cost?! I think I'd need a wiring harness/ converter. Apart from that I'm clueless and just want some advice on what's the best option?
and are there any better options on the market?!

Neither. CDC40 with premium speakers, DAB, UHP, and one of Pecky's special aux-in adapters.

Eonon? Warranty? What warranty? Their warranty isn't worth the paper its written on. Please, don't buy another Eonon, especially as yours has died so soon in its life. Surely that's enough to show its not worth it. Products may only come with a one year warranty as standard, but any quality product should last years.

Thoughts on these. Facia is around £35. The guy at halfrauds said because I already have a aftermarket wiring adapter I don't need a new one, he did say that one wire on it was different/ brand specific, is this the case? And do we think my eonon wiring adapter will work with a Sony or pioneer?

Also I'd need a lightning to av adapter to use the apps function (£35)!

I would say the guy at halfords is talking out his ****, the eonon wiring loom isn't universal afaik, and you will need a new wiring adapter, along with a double din fitting kit which costs circa 50 quid and around 36 for the steering canbus adapter

Only thing I have found is if you put a double din screen in I find it really hard to see the screen, satnav when it's bright out or the sun hits it, hence I'm thinking of getting a cd70 now.

Does anyone else struggle with this?

Wow that is a long thread! Will read it when I'm on my mac as this proxy iPad crashes a lot lol

Fitting the sound system and amp etc is simples to me, done plenty of full systems in the past, just looking at other options.

Back to this thread though, if your looking for satnav then I would say get the factory cd70 as changing the factory unit for an oem head unit with a screen and satnav is a waste of time as its just not easy enough to look at when your driving.

Most of it was just me asking questions and little progress reports as had never done anything along those lines :lol:
