My friends Vectra c is knocking at the front, I suspected a drop link issue, but no, now we suspect top mounts on the shockers , the 1.9 cdti has only covered 140 ish k miles,

Question to all in the know, att Tony , Is it a good move to replace the top mounts?, or replace the whole shockers with good second hand ones?, his budget is limited

Any advice would be appreciated

You should have no problems just changing the top mounts. The shocks are prone to weeping on the C though so you may well find that they are knackered

Thanks, That is what my thoughts were, any advice on new or aftermarket kits? also are shockers similar in most veccy c's?

Vec C fronts are all the same. Just get whatever suits the budget
