Wasn't sure where to post this so have put it here...

Just wondering if anyone can offer any advise with working with fibre glass.

Basically with out giving too much away, I need to "modify" a piece of molded fg.

Say I've got an A4 sheet and one of the corners has curled up slightly, is there any way of heating it up and bending it back down, or is it like a thermoplastic so once it's set it's set?

Any help would be appreciated.

To be honest I hate the stuff but it's what I've got to work with at the minute. :roll:

Normally I wouldn't touch anything made in fibre glass, but figured I'd try something.

It's not majorly bad to be fair, the parts themelves are small enough and thin enough than I may be able to loose the discrepancies.

I've not made them, I bought them so can't re do them with fg.

It's not worth it to be honest mate. Plus I wouldn't know where to start.

Think buying a fg kit would be more than I paid for the parts! :lol:

As for the thickness, you can see light bleeding through them if you hold them up to the light! :lol:

I'm gona have to build them up somewhat with primer and paint layers. (Y)

I've given up on it mate, well using fibre glass anyway. Got another option to try instead. Cheers though bud. (Y)

My lips are sealed mate.

It's nothing major to be honest, I've thought of a better way of doing it rather than using fibre glass, if it works and I like it I'll post up some pics. (Y)
