right so,

i picked the astra up a couple of days ago its a 56 plate 1.9 cdti . Thought id do some searching on the forums, read about the pedal test, so i thought id see what the crack was. These 2 codes came up 112561 & 038008, the car has been taking a little longer than id expect to turn on not ages, but longer than youd expect.
havent got any lights coming up on the dash.

just wandering if i should take it back to the dealers and hopefully get them remedied whilst it would still be free of charge.

New glow plugs will solve the second issue.

The starting problem is most likely related to the glow plug P0380 code. Probably one or more failed glow plugs.

As for the throttle actuator (which doesn't actually have anything to do with controlling the engine speed), the usual cause of failure for these is them either filling with oil, or the solder joining the connector to the circuit board cracking.

Either way, as you bought it from a garage or trader, I would get it back to them to sort it!

0380 code will be sorted by fitting new glow plugs, can get them off ebay for £25.

You might need a replacement throttle valve

ahhh cheers guys, they already messed up the wheel balance once so il go back in and get them to fix it, considering they "serviced it" before i collected it

To be honest, those faults could occur at any time, and are not items that are checked on any service.

Part of the service is to plug the car into a diagnostic machine and check for fault codes though....
