Hey,
I had a thread regarding a fault code, and EML being on.
When I start the car now, the EML light goes out...however the code reader still picks up a code...
P2453 $07E8

I know the P2453 code is for the differential pressure sensor...I cleaned the contacts on it last night which seems to have made the EML light go out.

But when I plug the reader in what does the additional $07E8 mean?

Many thanks

If the light now goes out, then it sounds like the fault is no longer there, and all that's being reported is a historic fault code that's no longer valid.

Have you tried clearing the fault code(s) and see if they come back again?

When the light was on, I cleared it just because it annoyed me while driving, however it would come back after stopping the car and restarting.

Since the light has started going on when starting , I didn't want to tempt fate by clearing the code.

I was just curious what the addition numbers meant.

**Please note, that when the ignition is on... the EML light is still lit, but once the engine is started it goes away...not sure if that is what is meant to happen.**
