if the abs light is on then you have a problem, if the abs light is not on dont worry about it as the code will be a none present code.

Nothing to do with abs as far as I'm aware spanner light came on once but off now and code stored when I did pedal test

P0500 is a chassis code and is from the ABS unit. The code will be stored if its not received a signal in 0.6s as either open circuit or range performance etc.

Well I was told it was speed signal ? Not sure what that means or does

Yeah the speed sensor thats in the wheel bearing sends a pulse to the abs unit. If you remove the connector from the abs unit and connect a multi meter set to AC to pins 6 and 7 when you spin the wheel you should get atleast 0.3v+
But if the ABS light isnt on i would not worry!
