Hi ,

My car developed a weird sound when my AC is on , if I just keep heater fan on there is no abnormal sound.
The sound can be heard only when AC is ON + coldest , and I'm accelerating from dead stop.
If I need to accelerate while the car is already moving , there is no sound.
If AC is off , exhaust sounds completely normal.
My exhaust system is custom , straight flexi / pipe / catback with resonator.
Underneath I don't see any damage to the pipes , neither I have hit a bump or anything lately.

What makes you think it's coming from the exhaust? Surely it's coming from the AC itself?

I have turned AC on , sat side ways left right and right left towards the exhaust while pressing pedal.
In both cases I could hear the sound clearly with my ear towards the exhaust.

If there is any other test to do that might determine why that sound is there , I can do it.
But the thing is , once summer heat is over I will stop using AC therefore I won't have that sound anymore...

The AC serves as much purpose in winter as it does in summer, some would argue more so.

Have you stuck your head under the bonnet and had someone else press the pedal?

An exhaust can whistle but it cannot squeak.

If it's like a squeak most likely the aux belt slipping with the extra load on the system or possibly the ac clutch slipping if it's a metallic squeak
