Sorry if this has been asked but cant find definative answer.

Just interested to know how many of you out there use this+basically what its like?

Saw them on fleabay but have my doubts. The one ive seen says it can do key programming. I know the risks of using one of these but still interested if it came with a decent tutorial.

You will find the eBay specials sadly lacking in this respect, as well as end-user support, updates, reliability etc.

Cheers for your reply. Had a feeling you'd say that. Was hoping there'd be something alot more in-depth to them. Guess its best left to the professionals!

I'm sure you'll find plenty of people who say they use them and have had no problems, and to an extent for just basic code reading they can work, but you have the pedal test for that. And as Anthony says, if the worst happens you'll get absolutely no support - there's a reason why they're on eBay and a fraction of the cost of the proper unit.

I've used it to read error codes and program CC, Anti-Hijack, and comfort closure, but thats it. I dont even click on the other options out of fear encase I do something wrong to be honest.

I use mine with no problems for basic code reading, and programming of comfort closure and anti hijacking. Never had any problems, but I wouldn't do anything else.

I've used mine to change the code index for trip computer, activate remote windows and do pretty much all of the diagnostic tests etc.

I've had no problems, I will install CC with it too once I get the stalk for it.

I got mine on ebay for £24 so for the features I programmed already it has been worthwhile.

Good stuff! Did you follow a guide or something?

The seller I bought from sent me the drivers and the opcom software via ebay message system.

There was a "readme" for installation but I already researched on Google so had a pretty good idea how to use it, chances are someone else has already posted a "how-to" on whatever you're wanting to do with it too.

Even if the instructions you find are for Tech 2 you can still follow it quite well with opcom using some common sense.
