I was considering getting my vauxhall front and rear badges in gold like the VW one below(Y)

On the black it could work. Not in other colours as much but definitely on black

yea should work with the black! maybe put a few other bits on like gold calpiers ect just to tie it in a bit

If it all tied in together like Spence has said it should work, a couple of gold decals (gold AMD one) would work well.

Options are hydrochrome, or gold plating. Now iv heard plating fades. Dunno who does it that, but hydrchrome see custom paint creations CPC in essex.

EG http://www.goldrush-plating.co.uk/services.html in stafford. Wants £95 for a car.

Failing that, a bodyshop will paint them once removed.

Gold badges front and back with gold calipers would look nice I reckon. Would need to lose the badge on the boot strip though.
