Cars pulling to the left but tracking is fine?

Cars tracking has been checked twice and its apparently fine.

Both times its been tracked at different garages and both times its come back with the wheel on an angle.
After taking it back, they track it "a different way" and the wheel comes back straight.
I don't understand how you can track a car different ways... but oh well.

Anyway, the car still pulls to the left.

I have to hold the wheel on an angle to get the car to travel straight.
If I let go of the wheel, it will return back level and stays level... but the car will drift off left. This has nothing to do with the road either.

I have to correct it by holding the wheel slightly right. Which is obviously annoying.

Tyre wear also seems mostly even. The tyres aren't that old to be honest.

What else can cause this?

I had the same probably with mine the tracking was ok but when I got a gearbox under warranty done a few years back the so called clever mechanic at woods of west Calder never lined my subframe up properly , apperently the subframe has to be lined up true with the rest of the car . So when I was driving straight my steering wheel was turned to the right and when I let the wheel go the car shot to the left and the steering wheel went back to the straight position .

All cars pull to the left ever so slightly....some more than others though!

So many things to consider regarding tyres, roads and of course tracking/steering. You can never guarantee a car will travel straight as you will never find a straight piece of road unless in some testing facility and everything was setup as a car may behave differently on different pieces of road.

so bottom line is don't worry about it as I went through the same thought process a few years ago until I found out it was all normal!

See my cars had its sub frame off a few times now and in all honesty... I believe thats when it started.
How hard is it to rejig the sub frame up?

Its not a little bit out... its a fair bit. My OCD is kicking right off!

They are easy to move but move it too much and it will make the car steering not centre correctly or pull more. Also the subframe isn't like a mondeo one with location holes for locking pins.
