the control indicator (spanner in car ) has came up on my astra van 52 plate. I have tried the ecn peddle test to find code but no code came up, but the spanner in car flashed for some time. How can i find out my code problems, is there another way ? any clues.

Car and spanner light are the emissions light, are you boxed???? if you are its too high.

I,m not sure i will check.
Also when i place the brakes that warning light dissappears,then returns back on after.
I have now noticed that my brake lights are not working (only the one that is fitted to the back window) is working ?
Are all these problems related ?
would this be a merchanical or electrical problem?
