Astra vxr possible gearbox?

Just been for a quick spin in my car to wash it and decided to be abit heavy on the right foot. Change it into 3rd on boost and it seemed to want to jump out. Tried it again and the same happened. The car had warmed up before booting it. Tried it in 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th and 6th but everything seemed fine with it. Just 3rd. Anybody any ideas what it could be? Is it the dreaded gearbox i hear so many people talking about or is an easy fix? Anybody else had this problem?

Try to avoid 3rd gear if possible its what I did until I could get it booked in and go steady

Yeah, thats what i've been doing and will be doing. Car wont be ised now until friday though so hopefully wont get worse.
