Hi peeps!

My car is a 2010 facelift 1.8i vvt model.

I have a problem that I can not open my boot. I've checked the fuse and it's not that. I've opened it up with the emergency release and checked its function while open.

The switch clicks but there is no action. I have bought a replacement switch/handle unit but there is a problem. The one that's fitted and broken (?) has a male connector but the one I received has a female connection where as all the ones I can find to buy are also female.

Can anyone shed any light on this issue?

Thanks Jon.
