Hi all, first post here.
I have a 2010 astra J, but the central locking has decided not to work. Currently only the boot opens when I press unlock on my key fob, I can open the drivers door with the key, but all other doors are deadlocked and won't open at all, so far I've tried un hooking the battery for a good half hour, which did nothing. Anybody else had a similar problem and know how to go about opening the rear doors?

Maybe it’s lost sync. You could try this:
1- Insert your key into the ignition and turn it to position II. The instrument lights will come on. The car is now in synchronisation mode for approx 10 seconds.
2- During this period, leave the key in the ignition and press the open button, then the lock button on your fob in turn and repeat until the locks open and close as they should.
3- Once the locks operate, the fob is synchronised. Some cars will also acknowledge by flashing the interior lights a couple of times or similar. All will lock and unlock the car once completed.

Hi mate, I've tried that as well, running out of ideas now

Heh, heh - just noticed your original post. Doh!
Did you try disconnecting the battery for 30 mins? (First, leave the driver’s door open?) Note that the alarm may sound after disconnecting unless you quickly insert your key into the ignition. Also, it’s a good idea, after reconnecting, to go for a very brief drive to let everything settle down before you next need the car. e.g. windows memory.

Hi
Did you ever sort out the central locking issue? I have a similar issue with only the driver's door and boot opening. If you got it sorted, do you remember how it got fixed? I have left the battery disconnected overnight and the key fob worked once after that but stopped again.
thanks,

I had a problem with my Vauxhall Astra central locking in that the doors wouldn’t always unlock even though I could hear the locking system trying. I was even locked in the car for some time. Then a friend spotted a loose screw on the driver’s door hinge and once tightened the locking system now works fine!
