Hi All,

I have an 2005 Astra H (Mkv5) I hope someone can help me please :)

The power steering rack failed, (it blew the rack gaiter off and fluid went every where)

Having been around cars all my live and usually do my own maintenance. So I proceeded to replace the steering rack.

Just taken the car for a drive and the ESP warning light is illuminated on the dash and the indicators do not self cancel?:cry:

The car seems to drive OK no other problems (I do need to get the wheel alignment done car booked in on Monday for this)

Any help greatly apricated thanks

When replacing he steering rack the battery was disconnected and removed.

When the steering column blot was removed the lower section of the steering column was then pulled up away from the steering rack. At now time was the steering column rotated (I had read horror about what can happen if it is) So I had taped the steering wheel to the dashboard in the straight ahead position.

I have fault codes present:

C0460-5A Steering angle sensor signal circuit range/performance
C0460-30 Steering angle sensor circuit malfunction
C0460-4B Steering angle sensor not calibrated

The first 2 fault codes cleared but the last one C0460-4B Steering angle sensor not calibrated remains?
