Hi.
The drivers door on the Astra suddenly became very stiff. It looks like the door restrainer is jamming as it goes into the door. ( is it called the restrainer?, the bar that stops the door being caught by the wind)

It looks to be being marked by something in the door. Any ideas guys?

What is the correct term for the part in case i need to source new ones?

Autovaux have them. Not cheap though at £35 plus postage. Or £9 posted for an ebay, chinese knock off one.

Unfortunately AV do not have them. Was an old google link found when searching part number. They can get one but looking at £50 delivered. Found an 'OEM' one for £15 so have rolled the dice on that one.

I have not even got it yet. It is sat in a DHL sorting depot somewhere.

Finally got the part delivered. This is despite DHL denying all knowledge of the package even though their site showed it at the sorting facility.
Anyway, it was £15 quid and was genuine VX. It came in VX brandes packagibg along with the hologram. Garage fitted it foc when the did the clutch.
