Hi everyone,

today i had a small coolant leak, at first i taught that it was coming from the pipe but then i realised that it is from the the nipple of this part

the problem is that this part I don't know what it is and what it does, one of its pipes goes to the cabin heater thats all i know

Hi
That part appears to be the exhaust gas recirculation (egr) valve which is cooled by the water cooling system.

hi again,
thanks redman you are right

today I fixed the leak removed it and did some welding on the leak and so far so good.

I still looked on it on eBay and it is the egr valve.

thanks for the advise

Hopefully you will have sorted it, you can pick a new one up off eBay from around £70 if not. These egr valves often cause problems with a lot of cars when they become blocked and stick. Was it fairly clean inside?
