What model year is your car? The fog lights are different pre-facelift (MY10,MY11,MY12) and post-facelift (MY13-). If it's an Energy I guess that makes it post-facelift, but those lights in the eBay link look like pre-facelift fogs.

Ahhhhh right okay, yes mine is the post facelift 13 plate Energy. Assuming I am able to find some post face lift lights for my Astra, any idea what kit i would need to fit them? I assume I'd need to buy the wiring to go with it or would all that be behind the bumper already? Apologies if this is a stupid question!

Still looking for a bit of help with this if anyone knows anything about this...

Basically looking to replace the light and indicator only lights from my Astra Energy with the ones from the higher models that have the fog lights, chrome trim etc. Anyone have any experience with this or know what bits I will need?

Thanks

You will also find that your car doesn't have a switch to operate front fog lights, so you would need a new headlight control switch as well. I know in my old Astra G which din't have fog lights the loom was there with the connectors just tied up out of the way, but on the J quite a few of the looms are made to suit the different configurations. I don't know specifically if there's a variant of the loom without fog light wires, but it wouldn't surprise me. You just need to crawl under the front of the car and have a look what's there. If the wires are there then the first thing to do is see if you can get power there before you spend any money on buying the lights.

Thanks for the excellent reply!! I do actually have a button on that headlight switch which doesn't do anything atm..I assumed it was for the fog lights which aren't on my model? I'll have to take a picture later and post it on here to see if you know what it could be for!

I'll also have a look under the car too and see what wiring I have :) just wondering how I'd actually fit the lights too it I got them? Would the blanking plate in the front bumper where the fog lights should go just pop out to make way for the lights?

Just an update to the post above..The headlight switch in my Astra looks like this:

The button you see in the middle doesn't seem to do anything though..would this be for the from fog lights if I was to install them?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I'm a complete idiot though. Music lover posted the part in his reply. It appears that the switch is for the rear fog lights and not front ones

Yes that's right - it;s for your rear fog light. It will only come on if you have the headlights on. To have front fogs you will need two buttons in the middle of the knob there.
