I have a vauxhall astra 1.9cdti 120


It just cut out yesterday morning thought it was lack of diesel but put plenty in and just won't fire so had diagnostics check and coming up with no faults, changed fuel filter and no change, changed crankshaft sensor no change, checked if the diesel was getting to the injectors nothing is coming through so followed the fuel pipes from the filter to the fuel pump solenoid and its not getting past the solenoid any ideas?????

Done the pedal test as well and getting error codes

Seems a lot of codes there, best to clear them and see what comes back, disconnect the battery for 20 mins and put it back on and try to start it again, then see what error codes come back.

How is the battery? Low voltage/ current maybe making ecu think sensors are playing up.

Low battery can be a pain in the backside with these newer cars with ECU's everywhere.
Had it with my ST, was 10.8v rather than 12.9v and everything was a mess, lights wouldnt go off, sensors clicking everywhere and it wouldn't start, just clicked.

Can u hear the tank fuel pump? My mates car kept blowing the tank fuel pump fuse n cutting out?

I could not tell you mate but if I am right the fuse is fuse 24 15amp?

I have checked that and don't look like its been blown

It turns over it just won't fire up that's why I changed the crankshaft sensor

That is what I am afraid as money is tight at the moment trying to rule out all possible cheaper options but I that was the case would it not show on the diagnostics?

It probably should but when mine went I didn't have diagnostics and didn't know about pedal test or anything, just had to take it to a garage and they told me the bad news... All £1600 of it.

Hi thanks for taking your time out to reply I have just had the car back on the diagnostics machine and come up with P1109 error code thought you might be able to have more of an idea
