Hi all, just purchased a 2009 astra twintop from a salvage auction, had a few dings and dents but I can sort that later. I've checked the oil and it seems pretty low, started the car up and it's bellowing smoke out of the exhaust, what can cause this and how do I check? I have a video if anyome can tell me how to upload it 馃槀

If you have blue smoke at start up, on the overrun and at idle, it most likely to be the valve stem seals that are shot. If you have blue smoke on boost, it will most likely be the turbo at fault.

Try removing the oil cap with engine running and see what is happening as regards pressures and smoke. Any signs of water in the oil?
