could someone help me out please.
I need to replace my front shock absorbers on my Astra 888, not sure if I’m correct in saying are B8’s fitted from new?

Anyway I’ve had B8’s on order since January and Eibach keep saying the factory keeps pushing the orders back so now won’t be In till September, they’ve offered me alternative saying the B6’s will do the job. Has anyone got B6’s and will i notice the difference if I switch?
Appreciate any feed back.

I don't think Bilstein's are fitted from factory. Happy to be proved wrong though.

Vauxhall used to fit Sachs at assembly.

Maybe not from factory but I told this is what Triple 8 upgraded too??

will need original reg not private or vin is fine

I’m not after factory ones I’ve got B8’s on at moment Eibech can supply a set till September but said they have B6’s i was wondering if I would make much difference swapping?

Ill have a look tmrw now bud if its from factory it should say which shocks it same with, even though it has 888 stampted on its likely they are sachs as thats what gm used

From my research thought it sounds likd the 888's were running VXR shocks all round with Eiback Sportline springs. They were just rebadged VXR shocks and habe an 888 stamped on them.
They will more than likely be sachs oem
Ill get you part numbers tmrw.. but you will be fine with KYB shocks too. Do you need front and rears?

888 Shocks can you buy them or get them refurbed

I have 888 shocks for my car but one of the rears is leaking, can I get a replacement somewhere or is there some where that refurbishes the shocks?

No need for new springs if yours arent snapped it will be dead shocks which is giving you problems

I've looked up the shocks for a VXR - part numbers here

put them into KYB's catalogue -and the equivalent part numbers are 339702 and 339703
