Hello
I've just found this page on the internet http://www.warranties.telegraph.co.uk/Vauxhall-Astra_guide.html?cart=125035223634972371&id=733#
In that, it says "1.8-litre engine suffers from flat spots, cured by a software update.". My engine doesnt seem to pull very well until about 3-3500rpm. Theres enough torque at lower revs for town driving, but when I get to country roads and give it some, it seems like its hesitating until it hits 3000rpm. My old Corsa with a 1.4 16V ecotek had a similar problem, and I was told it was normal for these engines.
I have the x18xe1. Does the update work on this engine, how do I know if the software update has been applied, and what difference will it make to the performance and ecomomy of the car?
Thanks!
