As above i changed the plugs and now in the morning the spanner light comes on for 10-20 secs then goes out. I plugged opcom into it and found that when the light is on the heater plug relay is active ?? Also noticed the connectors that go on top of the plug are slightly looser than others i have worked on ?

Any ideas

The relay being 'active' when the light is on is correct ;)

Are you saying that the glow plug connectors are loose on the glow plugs themselves?

The engine management light with the spanner ? thats the one that comes on not the glow plug one. And its the black connectors that go onto the plugs yeah ive checked others and the seem to fit on tighter

The glow plugs can be active whilst the engine is warming up to improve idling and throttle response and reduce emissions, so the relay can activate without the glow plug light coming on.

I know but its the engine management light that comes on when the relay is active and goes off again leaving a General glow decived error code behind

So you either have one or more defective glow plugs, a bad connection to them, a wiring problem, or a defective glow plug controller.
